Chocolate Bar Preview at The Langham
While many are lamenting the end of long summer days and outdoor BBQs, others are ushering in the fall season with open arms. Crisp air, thicker sweaters, and chocolate. That’s right, chocolate. Fall doesn’t just mean the start of apple pie season, it marks a new year of the Chocolate Bar at The Langham Hotel.

This 23-year-old event attracts people from all over the city to partake in one of Boston’s sweetest traditions. In a buffet-style setting, guests pay a flat rate to sample as many delicious and delectable items as they can handle. Portions are small, encouraging everyone to try everything. If one small bite doesn’t quite suit your taste buds, simply put it to the side. But if you find one that you just can’t get enough of, you are free to have as many as you’d like.
The Langham was kind enough to host a tasting event to showcase this years menu. Here is a peak at what you can expect to see at Chocolate Bar 2011.
Chocolate Kiss Martini
Dried Fig and Walnut Tart with Dark Chocolate
Ganache Filled Macarons
Mango White Chocolate Chili Parfait
Caramel Pistachio Mousse Torte
Creme Fraiche and Bitter Chocolate Trifle
If savory suits your fancy more than sweet, then brunch at The Langham is for you. I really enjoyed their Shrimp and Lobster Martini, along with a Bloody Mary made with Belvedere Bloody Mary vodka.
The Langham is located at 250 Franklin Street, a short walk from the State Street T stop. Thank you to The Langham for inviting me. All opinions are my own.
