Dave & Buster’s Comes to Massachusetts
If you have ever been told that you act like a child, I can’t think of a better place to do so than at Dave and Buster’s. With a tag line like, Escape into Play, it’s easy to imagine Dave and Buster’s like an adult-friendly version of an arcade. Recently, Dave and Buster’s opened up it’s newest location in Braintree, MA., making it the first location in Massachusetts.
Games reign supreme at Dave and Buster’s. They have all the classic games like skee-ball and basketball, but they also have some newer games like Fruit Ninja and soon they will have Angry Birds. Yes, Angry Birds. You may recognize those titles from your smartphone. Dave and Buster’s has two types of games, Redemption and Simulation. If you are looking to win enough tickets to get a prize, Redemption games are way to go.
Since most of our readers are food bloggers and foodies, they will appreciate D & B’s nice selection of kitchen appliances for their rewards. They also have simple items like stuffed animals, as well as really large reward items like the iPad and XBox.
While the focus here is obviously on gaming, there are other attributes that should not be overlooked. The bar area is nice and large, allowing you to take a break from that intense game of skee-ball and grab a beer, all while watching the game on one of their many flat screen tv’s.
I would be remiss to write a post on a food and drink website without incorporating a little bit of both. While Dave and Buster’s wouldn’t be top on my list for a five-star meal, I certainly appreciate the wide variety in their menu, from easy-to-eat finger foods to munch on in between rounds (Soft Pretzel Bites, Bar Burgers and Potato Skins) to the more hearty options of Sandwiches, Steaks and Ribs. Since it was early in the day on my visit, I partook in a Bloody Mary, which was surprisingly good.
The spinach dip was a rather large portion and easy to share with a big group of friends.
The combo appetizer let’s you sample a little bit of everything.
Their main courses are also reasonably priced and can satisfy any large appetite.
And if you are thinking about planning a party or corporate event, Dave and Buster’s has some great room choices for you.
Whether you go with some buddies or take the kids, you will certainly be entertained at Dave and Buster’s.

As always, these are my own opinions and in all honesty, I have been to many D & B’s, my feelings and views would not have changed. I enjoy Dave and Buster’s for what it is and look forward to playing many games of skee-ball there.
